RCLONE

Rclone syncs files to and from cloud storage providers as well as mounting them, listing them in lots of different ways.

Overview

Command	Description
`rclone config`	Config rclone (e.g. connect with proton)

`rclone lsd proton:`	Show directories from proton
`rclone lsd proton:Backups`	Show directories from proton in folder Backups
`rclone ls proton:`	Show directories & files from proton
`rclone ls proton:Backups`	Show directories & files from proton in folder Backups

`rclone copy <file> proton:Backups`	Copy <file> to proton to folder Backups

`rclone delete proton:Backups --min-age 30d`	Delete alle files from proton in folder Backups that are older than 30 days
`rclone delete proton:Backups --dry-run`	Delete alle files from proton in folder Backups (dry run)

Installation

sudo apt install rclone        # install rclone

if rclone is too old and doesn't support proton, you have to

deinstall rclone
install newiest version of rclone manually

sudo apt remove rclone         # if too old
hash -r                        # clean bash cache
sudo curl https://rclone.org/install.sh | sudo bash   # install brand new version

the newest version could have problems - deupgrade version

sudo rclone selfupdate --version v1.74.4              # currently errors in brand new v1.75
